Why I Started Kindred Hound
My journey with dog training started back in 2015, when I took my first leap as a pet store dog trainer. I quickly discovered how much I loved helping people and their dogs build better communication and trust. Within a short time, I became the lead dog trainer—a role I proudly held for over a year before stepping into the medical field in 2017. Even then, I never stopped training privately on the side, fitting lessons in around my shifts simply because I couldn’t imagine life without it.
After living here in Camden County, Georgia, for several years now, I continue to see a huge need for trustworthy, practical dog training support in our community. Families love their dogs but often don’t know where to turn when behavior challenges arise. Sadly, this gap is one of the reasons so many dogs end up being rehomed or surrendered to already full shelters.
I started Kindred Hound Training with a simple but meaningful mission:
To help more dogs stay in their loving homes and build strong, lasting relationships with their people.
I deeply believe that every dog deserves not just a home, but a bond built on understanding and trust. All dogs, no matter where they come from, deserve a chance to thrive and unleash their potential.
Over the years, I’ve developed a training style that blends different proven techniques, because I know that every dog is an individual with a unique personality and needs. There is no one-size-fits-all method—there’s only what works for you and your dog.
I’m excited to keep growing this mission here in our local community and beyond. One day soon, I hope Kindred Hound can expand to help even more animals and their families find harmony, understanding, and lifelong companionship.
Thank you for being here and for believing in a better way for our dogs.
Here’s to building closer bonds—one lesson at a time.
