Policies
-
Private lessons and group classes are by appointment only. Please arrive on time or a few minutes before the class starts so you and your dog get the most out of each session.

-
We understand life happens! Please give at least 2 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a private lesson.
Cancellations made with less than 2 hours notice, forgetting, or no-shows, will be charged the full session rate.
Group class fees are non-refundable once the course has started. If you need to withdraw before the first class, we’re happy to apply your payment as a credit for future services or reschedule your lesson to better fit your schedule.
If a private session or group class needs to be rescheduled by the trainer you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance by text and email. If needing to be rescheduled for weather reasons you will receive notification the day of your lesson via text and/or email no later than an hour before.

For everyone’s safety, all dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations appropriate for their age (typically rabies, distemper, and parvo). Titers will also be accepted.
Puppies attending classes must have received at least their first round of vaccinations and be kept on schedule with their vet’s recommendations. Rabies will be required to be shown once puppy had received the vaccination.
Vaccination records will be required to be shown prior to first session. We will ask that you email or print us a copy to verify vaccination status.
Dogs showing signs of illness (coughing, vomiting, diarrhea) should stay home until cleared by a vet.
Dogs on behavioral medications (for anxiety, etc.) will not be permitted in group classes. These dogs will be evaluated and options discussed with trainer.
-
We encourage all family members to participate in training! However, for safety and to maintain focus during lessons, children must be supervised at all times and not allowed to approach other dogs without permission.
For group classes, please limit the number of family members attending with each dog to help keep class calm and manageable.
Disruptive or uncontrollable children will not be tolerated during group classes. The trainer may ask you to leave or for someone to come get the child if they are deemed disruptive. Session can be made up by contacting trainer.
-
Dogs must be kept on a 6ft leash at all times unless instructed otherwise by the trainer. No retractable leashes.
If your dog has a history of biting or aggression toward people or other dogs, please inform us in the training application before booking. Not all aggression cases can be safely addressed — we may refer you to a qualified behavior consultant for specialized help depending on behavior being exhibited.
We reserve the right to remove any dog from a group class or lesson if their behavior poses a risk to others. Private lessons or other options will be recommended and discussed with trainer after removal and after class has finished. No refunds will be given in such cases, but credit will be given if decided by trainer that private lessons would be beneficial.

We love celebrating your dog’s progress! We may take photos or short video clips during lessons or classes for training feedback or marketing purposes. Please let us know in writing (paper or email) if you prefer not to have you or your dog’s photo taken or used online.
You may not record any training sessions unless previously discussed with trainer.
Photos can be taken in group classes, however, we ask that you respect others privacy and do not take photos of other people or their dogs without their permission first.
